About the lecture:

The lecture is intended for orthodontists as well as general dentists.

An increasing number of patients are becoming aware of the need for orthodontic treatment, whether for functional or aesthetic reasons. At the same time, many resist undergoing conventional therapies, such as braces.

Aligners have become increasingly popular due to their aesthetic appeal and mechanical advantages over other methods, such as lingual braces. They offer patients the flexibility and comfort of removable trays that are customised to their specific needs, resulting in more efficient treatment planning and delivery.

However, we must ask ourselves if we are adequately prepared to provide efficient treatment with aligners. It is worth noting that despite the benefits of aligners, 17% of patients still opt for traditional braces. This raises the question of whether aligners are suitable for all types of malocclusions, especially those that are moderate to severe.

During this conference, Dr. Colino will share his expertise and demonstrate how to resolve moderate to severe malocclusions efficiently while taking into account the critical factor of time, which is essential to meet our patients’ expectations.

Dr. Colino believes that aligners are a promising alternative in orthodontic treatment. At the same time, we must ensure that we have the necessary knowledge and skills to provide efficient and effective treatment for our patients.
