Stabilized Bone Regeneration (SBR) technique

For certain defect morphologies, the conventional Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR) technique can reach its limits. In these situations, the particulate bone substitute material (Geistlich Bio-Oss) in combination with a collagen membrane (Geistlich Bio-Gide) can be stabilised by the additional use of umbrella screws (SBR technique). With umbrella screws, the bone substitute material is given sufficient space and rest so that wound healing and tissue regeneration can take place undisturbed.

Significantly more bone

Through the combined use of SBR technique with Geistlich Bio-Oss and Geistlich Bio-Gide, significantly more bone volume can be built up compared to conventional GBR without stabilization of the augmentation material.

Umbrella screws – predictable and straightforward

The SBR technique is considered a procedure that can be planned well and is not susceptible to complications. It is a treatment option for simpler as well as for more complex bone defects and offers an alternative to the shell technique and titanium-reinforced membranes.
